   The extension of the Roman walls during the medieval ages (9th century) today enables visitors to stroll along a walkway following some sections of the longest Carolingian walls in Europe. The various towers are excellent vantage points offering panoramic views over the city.

   In this little town of Besalú you will find an impressive medieval bridge that exists from the 11th century. What happens is that in 1315 a flood destroyed the bridge and was rebuilt thanks to the tax established under the notice of James II besaluencs leaders. Over time, it has been rebuilt several times.
