San Gimignano is renowned for its saffron, the "Golden Ham," and its white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient Vernaccia grape variety cultivated on the surrounding sandstone hills. In Piazza della Cisterna, don't miss the opportunity to taste some of the world's best gelato, and as you stroll through the village's streets, admire the extraordinary craftsmanship of local artisans.
