igokudani Wild Monkey Park is a famous wildlife park in Nagano, home to wild Japanese macaques known as “snow monkeys.” Visitors walk along a forest trail to observe the monkeys living freely in their natural mountain habitat. In winter, the park is especially scenic, with snow-covered landscapes and monkeys often gathering near warm hot springs. Animal sightings vary by season, as the monkeys are wild.
