Meet your friendly guide at 7:30AM in your hotel lobby.Enjoy the city view in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle on the way to Chengdu panda base. Panda volunteer upgrade & alternative panda base visits (crowd-free) are available in payment options. Led by a professional guide, you’ll make the most of 3–4 hours exploring the world’s largest panda base. Your guide will craft a crowd-free optimal route to take you around different sections of the park. You can observe giant pandas of all ages—cubs cuddling with their mothers, social sub-adults, and solitary adult or elderly pandas as they forage, play, climb trees, or rest. If you come in delivery season, you may even spot 2–3-month-old baby pandas sunbathing. You’ll also catch sight of agile, gregarious red pandas moving and foraging in the trees. Beyond panda viewing, this tour offers a deep dive into the legendary lives of giant pandas, helping you uncover the fascinating secrets behind their survival, evolution, and development.

[Upgrade Option: Panda Volunteer Experience] 07:00AM Departure Visitors upgrading to the Panda Volunteer Experience will head to Wolong / Ya'an Panda Base, with a 2 hours drive (duration varies by seasonal tourist traffic). On Arrival Our guide will assist you with program registration and volunteer ID card collection. After donning the uniform and gloves, you’ll join in hands-on tasks: preparing bamboo, cleaning panda enclosures, and making panda cakes for these adorable animals. A professional keeper will share insights into the pandas’ daily routines and behaviors, followed by a visit to giant pandas of all ages—enjoy the tranquil, uncrowded moments here! Post-Lunch Activity Watch a documentary showcasing the Conservation and Research Center’s success in panda artificial breeding and wild reintroduction programs. Conclusion & Return You’ll receive an official volunteer certificate before our guide and driver take you back to your Chengdu hotel.
