There are four different 5th Stations on Mt. Fuji, each serving as the highest point accessible by vehicle on its respective route. During the climbing season, these stations serve as base camps for hikers beginning their ascent to the summit. On this tour, we usually visit the most popular and scenic 5th Station, which is connected to the Yoshida Trail, the most frequently used climbing route on Mt. Fuji. From here, you can enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Fuji's summit, the surrounding lakes, and the beautiful landscapes below. The area also features a variety of shops where you can browse and purchase Mt. Fuji-themed souvenirs, local specialties, and snacks.
⏱ 40 min - 3
Located on the opposite shore of Lake Kawaguchi, one of the famous Fuji Five Lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji, this area offers some of the most spectacular views of Japan's iconic mountain. On a clear day, you can enjoy stunning panoramic vistas of Mt. Fuji and capture beautiful photographs of its reflection on the lake's surface. The area is also home to a variety of shops and market stalls selling seasonal fruits, local produce, and regional specialties. You will have the opportunity to sample Japanese street food, sweets, and other local delicacies while enjoying the scenic lakeside atmosphere.
