Overview
Escape Tokyo crowds by train with a former JR conductor and slow down into an ordinary local day along the Chuo Line. The “passenger” on this journey is you. Meeting and ending are usually at Shinjuku Station or Tokyo Station. A station near your central Tokyo hotel may also be possible. Samurai Guide Sho served as a JR Chuo Line conductor for 22 years. Together, you travel by JR Chuo Line Green Car (premium seating) to local places along the line, making the ride part of the day. This is not a fixed sightseeing route. Parks, local towns, food, nature, craft beer, and relaxing time can be connected into one private journey based on what you want. For families, the day can include a large park, zoo, BBQ, or stroller-friendly route. For nature lovers, it can become a light hike, a longer mountain walk, or time at a tattoo-friendly onsen or sauna. For food and drinks, local meals, craft beer, and everyday Tokyo neighborhoods become the route. This is Tokyo in its offstage clothes.
